Diver - RTH

From out of the gloomy depths, a Deep Sea Diver emerges with his bags to go late-night shopping in Whitstable.
 
I had thought about making this photograph for some time, but the graffiti was gradually fading back into the brickwork of the railway bridge. One evening, as dusk turned to night, I finally set up and waited.
 
The passing traffic wasn’t giving me what I wanted until a double-decker bus swept beneath the bridge. Half an hour later it returned. One photograph as it rushed past, its illuminated upper deck cutting through the evening light, and it was all over.
 
The Deep Sea Diver has since disappeared, but the moment remains.
