Clachan Bridge links the west coast of the Scottish mainland with the small island of Seil and is also known as the “Bridge over the Atlantic”.
Local tradition tells that Jacobites would change from their trousers into kilts before crossing the bridge on their way to battle, giving rise to the story behind this photograph’s title.
